Born in Naples in October 31st 1970, Maurizio moved to Rome at the age of 25, where he has been living henceforth and working as an "IT specialist". He started learning playing the piano when he was 12, then developed a passion for guitars, until he dedicated himself to electronic sonorities. He passed through many music scenes: from disco music to the first 88’-89’s house music and the first raves of the 90s in Spain and in Rome. He joined the Angles Of Love in Naples, being one of the pioneer promoter groups in Naples´ club scene. He bought his first piece of mixing-equipment in 1990 and the following year got his first booking in Rome.
During his career, he had the honour of touring Southern Italy side by side with many renown artists, such as Jeff Mills, The Advent, Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola, Sven Vath, Stenny Frannssen, Rino Cerrone, Danilo Vigorito, Steve Rachmad, Ellen Allien, User and others. He played at the Enzimi festival in 2001, in Rome, with Gerome Sportelli aka Nepz (Series Rec. Liegi), Resonant's Crew (Skycon, Ployd and Tluk) and Thomas Brinkman. During the last years, Maurizio´s musical work has been inspired by Underworld, and by classic DJ producers like Jeff Mills, Richie Hawtin, The Advent, Speedy J, as well as local heroes in the Neapolitan scene. Maurizio has been resident DJ of the “Loose Club” since in 1999.
In 2006, after contributing two of his tracks for the London based netlabel Metroline recording, “Signals EP” and “Metrobuskers Vol. 1”, Maurizio´s music found fans all around the globe …Immediately he has been contacted for some gigs in London and was just recently asked by Alland Byallo to contribute a release on Night Light Music. He has just recently toured in Berlin, where his productions also had a great effect and were placed in some German compilations and where he has become well-known for his remarkable Djing-skills. His music is also about to appear on vinyl with "SEEMS", a track on “It’s what I like Vol. 1” of Analytictrail, which is an independent label from Markantonio, with other very well known artists such as Cisco Ferreira aka The Advent. During the first quarter of 2007, Maurizio released two EPs (RED and YELLOW) with a sub-label of Rilis: Loose records, the label of Rino Cerrone and Mario Manganelli, gaining very good feedbacks from renown artists… Soon these tracks entered the Top100 chart per genre at Beatport. Maurizio is likely to become one of the top newcomers on the international music market. Booking requests from the US have led his management to planning a US-tour, and many international cities will follow!
Other productions are currently in the pipeline and Maurizio is also working on his own label, which will be launched within the next few months. It´s definitely worth to keep an eye on this emerging artist.
